Craps Guide
Learning how to play online craps is much simpler than it looks. Although you may be intimidated by the crowd usually standing around a craps table, in reality the game is as complicated or simple as you choose to make it. Because onlinecraps and casino craps tables have many different things to wager on, a player can choose how much, or little to wager. Certain bets are good for one roll, while others are good for the length of the game.

Online Craps is generally run in the same way as land based casinos. Every game has a “shooter” or player who is throwing the dice. Prior to the first or “come out” roll, online craps players place bets on the “pass line.” The payout on these wagers is dependent on the come out roll. If the player rolls a 7 or 11, all pass line bets are winners, however, if the roll is a 2, 3 or 12 then everyone loses. Hence you generally hear a group around a craps table cheering or crying in unison.

In online craps, if the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10, the game continues and the rolled number is the “Point.” Once a point is rolled, the “on” button is placed on that number and the game continues until either the shooter hits that number again, or a 7 is rolled. It is during this time the players are free to make various additional bets of differing odds. Once an onlline crapsshooter rolls the point, the game continues from the beginning, if they roll a 7 all pass line bets lose and the game starts over as well. Generally you can only join a online craps and offline craps gamesprior to a come out roll, or when the button is “off.”

Online craps is both fun and exciting because players are generally rooting for and against certain numbers together. Because there are so many different wagers to make in online craps, you can simply play the pass line or decide to wager on additional numbers, it can be as basic or complex as you like.

A few tips for online craps are:

For longer play with lower risk, stick to the pass/don’t pass or come/don’t come bets.

Before the come out roll, wager on the pass line and a field bet of the same amount. This way at the very least you break even if a 7 or 11 is rolled.

Try some free online craps before diving in with real money to get comfortable with the game.
