Online Poker and the increased popularity of the WSOP has created a booming marketplace for poker games. There are many types of poker, but the most popular version is Texas Hold’em, so for now we will provide some information and tips on Texas Hold’em poker online, with additional games to follow.
Both Texas Holdem and Online Texas Casino Hold’em are played the same way, however in the online casino version, players have the option to play each other, or a version one on one against the dealer known as “Casino Hold’em”.
First step in Texas Hold’em Poker Guide – In Texas Hold’em online a player puts down a bet, similar to Blackjack, and is then dealt two cards. The initial bet is called the Ante. An additional three cards are placed on the table and are used by the community. At this point a player can decide to Call or Fold. If a player folds, they lose their cards along with their bet. A Call involves increasing the overall bet as well.
How to play Online Hold’em
Texas Holdem after the call – If a player calls, the game continues and they receive an additional two community cards. Once all cards are laid out, the dealer exposes his hand. The player with the winning offline or online Texas Hold’em hand, comprised of both the cards in hand and the community cards, wins.
One additional rule in Texas Holdem online is that a dealer must have, at minimum, a pair of 4′s for bets to pay out. If the dealer does not qualify, this is considered a push and the Ante is returned.

A few general rules for Online Texas Holdem Casino Style (Games against a dealer only):
Once the house is qualified, if you win the Ante bet is paid based on your hand and the Call bet pays out equal to your bet.
If your hand matches the house, the Texas Hold’em hand with the highest ranking card is the winner. For instance, a flush with a high Ace beats a flush with a high Jack.
In Online Texas Hold’em an ace is worth either 1 or 11, similar to Blackjack. It can therefore be used for a low or high flush.
